WATFORD VS NOTTINGHAM FOREST 06.03.21
Watford are set to take on Nottingham Forest in the clubs' 35th match of the season. The reverse fixture back in December played out to be a boring 0-0 draw. The Hornets are sitting third, level on points with second-placed Brentford, whereas Nottingham Forest sit 16th, just eight points clear of the relegation zone (with many teams below them having matches in hand). Last time out, the Hornets bounced back from defeat against Bournemouth by comfortably brushing aside Wycombe thanks to an Andre Gray brace. Nottingham Forest lost, at home, to Watford’s arch-rivals Luton Town. James Garner returns to Vicarage Road for the first time since the termination of his loan with the Hornets (and so too does Glenn Murray, though the former Brighton player is less likely to start).
Although Watford are clear favorites in this fixture, an easy win should not be expected. Forest know they need a bounce-back result, and Garner could prove to be the focal point of the match if he tries to use antics to distract the Hornets (kind of like how Jefferson Lerma did when Watford faced Bournemouth). The Hornets are also without many key players, with Will Hughes being the only true central-midfielder available. Zinckernagel and Wilmot (or new signing Carlos Sanchez) will have to fill in the other two midfield spots if Xisco Munoz is to continue using the very-effective 4-3-3 formation. Joao Pedro will be available following his one-match suspension. Nottingham Forest will prove to be tough opposition, with fatigue also playing a factor in the match. But, in the end, Watford have more quality - even with the injuries. The Hornets should be able to grab a hard-fought three points yet again on their home turf.
Score Prediction: Watford 2-0 Nottingham Forest
TOUGH GAME INBOUND.
We face a very good Watford team who aren't gonna make it easy for us. With only 3 goals in the last 6 we can clearly see what the problem is. I think Mighten should be given a shot up front as no one else can do it. Watford sit 3rd and looking unstoppable and there key player is Sarr an insanely quick winger with skill and good shooting ability. We sit in 16th with the goals drying up our key player krovinovic needs to get more involved. There last game was a 2-0 win against Wycombe and ours was a shocking 1-0 defeat to Luton.
My score prediction is 2-0 Watford, Sarr and Gray scoring.
