FA Cup action returns this week as Manchester City travel to the Liberty Stadium to face Swansea in the FA Cup 5th Round. The game kicks off at 5:30pm.
A win here will take City to the Quarter Finals. Both clubs are in great form, with City on a 14 game win streak and a victory at Anfield.
The Swans are not a side to take lightly, as they’re sitting in 3rd in the Championship at the moment, and they really gave us a tough time last time we faced them. It was a 3-2 win the last time we faced them, and I have got to admit that if it weren’t for some very dodgy officiating going against them, we would have been knocked out.
If we underestimate them, we may well be punished as we almost did against Cheltenham a few weeks back. It will be interesting to see if any youngsters get into the match day squad, and we hopefully get to see players like Tommy Doyle or Liam Delap placed somewhere in the list.
My prediction is a 3-0 win for Manchester City.
Well, we face an on form Manchester City side who have been ruthless and are currently on a 14 game winning streak. It will be an incredibly difficult game.
Swansea have the 2nd best defence out of every side in the top four leagues, our visitors tonight being the only side to better that record, so you would like to think there will not be many goals.
But this is the FA Cup! so you never know.
The Swans are massive underdogs in this match, but we know that. With that said, all the pressure is on Pep and his Man City side so we can relax, play some football and just enjoy the occasion knowing that any result will be a bonus!
It will put a bit of confidence into the players knowing we have competed well against tonight`s opponents before, last time against them we lost 3-2 but suffered 2 controversial decisions going against us.
Lets hope for a more positive outcome tonight!
I`ll go for a 1-1 draw after 90 mins and Man City to win 2-1 after extra time.
