Barnsley and Bristol City meet at Ashton Gate this weekend, in the Sky Bet Championship. Bristol are without a league win in 6 games on the other hand Barnsley have won their last two against Brentford and Blackburn, they will look for a third straight win.

Valerien Ismaël’s Barnsley are loving life in the Championship this season, who are edging closer to the playoffs, they sit 10th. Manager-less Bristol, who sacked Dean Holden in the week, sit 14th and will certainly be wanting the three points to avoid moving further down the table.

Last time these sides met was at Oakwell back in late 2020 where Barnsley managed to salvage a point through a penalty in last seconds of the game, but what will happen this time, Barnsley have improved A LOT!

A BIG GAME FOR BOTH SIDES, can Barnsley get the win and go 7th (depending on other results), or can the robins get back to winning ways?

Robins not being on top form recently is not gonna be giving us any boosts. Playing against Barnsley is really going to challenge us as our form isn’t very great, with our last two games being defeats it’s not looking very positive loosing to reading with their centre back scoring running from his box to ours is simply just not good enough.

With Holden being sacked what our fans wanted we can hopefully bring someone in to get our form back where it was at the start of the season. If we’re going to be playing well we’re going to need to be putting the effort in at training and on match days.

I recon this is going to be very tight and I’m predicting Bristol city 2-2 Barnsley
