PRESTON v WATFORD 16.02.21
Last time out Preston North End got battered by the Hornets 4-1 with Domingos Quina, Troy Deeney, Nathan Chalobah and Joao Pedro on the scoresheet and tom Barkhuizen getting the only goal for the lilywhites.
Since then ,Watford have now climbed up to 4th in the championship, 6 points off the automatic promotion places and 11 points clear of 7th. Meanwhile, Preston North End are struggling in mid table and are 7 points off the play off places
The last game Watford played was against Bristol city and they beat them 6-0. Going 4-0 up in the first half. Preston played a very entertaining Lancashire derby where they went 2-0 up after 43 minutes and that was enough for the 3 points winning 2-0
This could be a very interesting game as Watford have the 16th worse away record in the league and Preston having a poor home record too. Troy Deeney is clinical for Watford and could really test Preston's new defence.
Preston's new signings in Sepp van den berg and Lindsay could change the defensive approach PNE take into this match and may not be such a score difference.
My prediction: I think Watford will edge this game winning 2-1 with Deeney scoring 2 for the visitors and Scott Sinclair scoring for the hosts.
